Yay a spoiler thread! I just wanted to go over some of the aspects of the movie that I had trouble with. First off I did enjoy the movie and would venture to say that it was better than the other 3 spider-man films, but as I mentioned before I really do not like Peter being unmasked repeatedly. I also felt as though the transition to the fancy suit and crime fighting seemed a bit rushed to me. I found it curious that there was no mention of Mary Jane, and no Harry Osbourne. I thought the lizard looked very cool, and the origin was pretty well done. I just felt that the time spend showing Peter as a child with his parents was not as necessary as Peter's transition into "officially" becoming spider-man that as I mentioned before seemed a bit rushed. I liked the web shooters and the science behind them, and the fact that Peter is a genius but is still a teenager that one can relate to. I also found myself wanting to get a taste of Jay Jona Jamison, but maybe they'll wait for future films when Peter is out of High School. Strange choice that Gwen Stacy is the first person that Peter reveals his secret identity to considering she never knew he was Spider-Man in the comic. All in all I liked the movie, but it definitely had a slightly different feel than the most recent Marvel films in that more liberties to change aspects of the character's origin has been taken in TASM.
