I would've liked to see a more realistic take on the wrestling match. The 02 one was old school WWF (to the extent of having the Macho Man as the opponent!), I think a version not so over the top would've been a cool addition. But then,to show what a purist geek I am,I'm disappointed that neither origin film had the scene where Peter first sticks to the wall because a car was coming towards him."That's one egg head who won't daydream while crossing the street again!"smiley: laugh I'm serious,I want to see that.(actually,I think the 70's tv origin had that scene,if I remember correctly.)

I don't mind a fresh take on the characters.A good example would be JJJ.I always wanted to see that scene from the comics where JJJ admits when he's alone that the reason why he hates Spider-Man is because he can never climb to his level,so all he can do is try to tear him down. That's great stuff, but I don't think Raimi's Jameson could've done that scene.

I guess I still prefer Tobey, but I have nothing against Andrew.I thought he was good.Emma Stone was good too.I'm surprised no one has mentioned her yet.She rocked Gwen's trademark knee boots.smiley: grin I do fear this series will have the same problem as the previous series,in that they put too much emphasis on the love story. There was a lot of girls Peter dated in the comics. The Raimi films skipped straight to MJ as his "true" love and eventually ran themselves into a corner. (I'm not sure what they would've done after SM 3.) In the same way,I think when Gwen eventually dies (should they stick to the comics storyline) they're gonna have a hard time selling people on the idea that Peter was "meant to be" with MJ.

I guess the three of us are the only ones who saw the movie so far.smiley: laugh I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about the film in here!

Wait till I get my violin!
