The Raimi films skipped straight to MJ as his "true" love and eventually ran themselves into a corner. (I'm not sure what they would've done after SM 3.) In the same way,I think when Gwen eventually dies (should they stick to the comics storyline) they're gonna have a hard time selling people on the idea that Peter was "meant to be" with MJ.

I guess the three of us are the only ones who saw the movie so far.smiley: laugh I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about the film in here!

That's another thing I'm happy about, regarding this movie: The love story is well done, and not over-the-top. None of that "Aunt May, Aunt May, is that an angel?" crap. smiley: grin Come on, what 5 year old kid would realistically say that?  (Except for Anakin Skywalker, that is. smiley: laugh) This movie handles the romance well.
And if they do eventually bring in Mary Jane, I hope she will be.....shall we say.......hotter? Wink02 Nothing against Kirsten Dunst, but she ain't no Cindy Crawford. smiley: grin MJ in the comics is supposed to be a "supermodel-type", waaay out of Peter Parker's league. Which makes it interesting.

There's four of us that have seen the movie so far, I think: You, me, SP, and Thunder Spider.
