In the same way,I think when Gwen eventually dies (should they stick to the comics storyline) they're gonna have a hard time selling people on the idea that Peter was "meant to be" with MJ.I guess the three of us are the only ones who saw the movie so far. I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about the film in here!

Good for you, Johnnie! I'm glad you enjoyed it more the second time. I usually always enjoy any movie more the second time anyway. Who knows? Maybe you'll enjoy it even more the third time, and so on, until you eventually give it 5 stars out of 5. You raise some interesting points:Regarding the argument between Peter and Uncle Ben, I don't understand why you don't like it. Something similar happened in the 2002 movie between Peter and Uncle Ben before Uncle Ben died. This argument between Peter and his uncle is all part of the tremendous sense of guilt that he feels after Uncle Ben's murder. Not only does he feel guilty because he could've stopped the criminal before the tragedy happened, but he also feels guilty about his final conversation with his uncle prior to the death. Just like that scene in the car in the 2002 movie----except that in that one, Uncle Ben was portrayed as more "saintly". He hadn't argued with Peter's harsh words.Regarding the web shooters, I agree with you that the explanation is given rather quickly. From what I understand, he designed the shooters himself but bought the substance necessary to make the web online. The message from Uncle Ben on Peter's voice mail: I'll have to watch the movie again, because I'm already forgetting some details. However, from what I understand, Uncle Ben left that message for Peter after their argument, before he went out looking for Peter.
